We had an exciting soccer day yesterday! I call the team "our girls" because as parents on the sidelines, we cheer loudly and heartily for the girls as if they were each our own.
Our girls had such a great game and I am so proud of them! We had not won any of the three games we had played previously, one of those ending in a tie. The girls were starting to lose heart. The coaches (including Matthew) had been focusing on passing and dribbling drills for the past two weeks and wouldn't ya know it, the training finally kicked in!
They passed!
They kicked and stayed with the ball.
They played as a team!
And....THEY WON!!
Us parents cheered louder than I've ever heard at a soccer game. We were beside ourselves! We are so proud!!
They may not win every game but at least now they know they have it in them.
What an amazing feeling we all had yesterday. My Lizzy was goalie and was amazing!
Way to go girls!
