Christmas Party

Lizzy's class had a simple and wonderful Christmas party at school today. They shared cookies, made snowman ornaments and played The Gingerbread Man game. Each child brought a new, wrapped book and one of the parents read the book to the class as they sat in a circle around her. Every time she read the word "run," the kids had to pass the book they were holding to the person on the right. If you've read this book, you know that "run" is in it numerous times. It became humorous to watch them pass very fast and to see which kids ended up with multiple books. This always resulted in having to stop to sort out the mess. They had a blast and the best part was that they each ended up with a surprise book. Great game!

The class then serenaded the parents that were helping with the party with a cute little song.
