Vacation - Day 4 (Tuesday)

My Aunt and Uncle took Elisabeth and I to Roots Country Market and Auction in Lancaster, PA. We found ourselves in the heart of Amish Country, Antiques and farm markets. It was wonderful!

We followed this by taking a short trip to Gettysburg, PA where we spent time at the Visitors’ Center/Museum and driving around the Battlefield. Matthew’s ultimate hero is Gen. Joshua Chamberlain, a man who fought valiantly with the 20th Maine at Gettysburg. Matthew spent a great deal of time just walking the ground where the 20th Maine stood their ground on the slope of Little Round Top.

We shared a final dinner with my Aunt and Uncle and my sister and her family. The cousins played and the adults spent a lot of time catching up and talking about family.

Thought this was interesting

Mommy, how do you make this thing work??

Matthew's hero. The "J" from our son's name is in honor of this man.
