If I hear one more media account of how appalling it is that Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter is pregnant, I am going to vomit! God forbid, if my daughter finds herself in the same position years down the road, I want her to be as comfortable in telling her mother as Sarah Palin's daughter was. I want my daughter to know that her family is here and supports her unconditionally. Regardless of what comes our way. Sarah Palin has stood up and said yes, sometimes things don't go as exactly as planned but your character shows in how you react to those challenges. From one mother to another, she's doing a great job.
Besides, is this the United States of America of the Perfect?? No! We are the United States of America for EVERYONE - those of us who make bad decisions, those of us who get lost along the way, those of us who need a little help now and then and yes, even those of us who think we are perfect.
Am I perfect? Hell, No. But does our little family come first before anything and anyone else in this world? HELL YES.
It wasn't always that way for me. I hail from a history of familial bad decisions. Matthew and I made a concerted decision that our family will come first. Always. And there is no discussion about it. You can believe me when I say there is a RESOUNDING period after that sentence.
Tonight, I listened to another mother detail her family history and how proud she is to belong to her community. She discussed how crazy it can be to raise a family. But you know what?? She's doing it all while running for Vice President!
Sarah Palin is an inspiring mother and I am proud to say I support her. She's a hero in my book and a very deserving one at that. Every mother in America should listen to the speech she gave at the Republican National Convention.
It will knock your socks off.

I'm gonna listen to it as soon as I can. Papa taped it for me last night...got to get my zzzzzz's for first shift. But what I know so far sounds very good! It's amazing how things get twisted...today...a fellow "worker" made mention about how Sarah was not married...how she made it look like the baby she just had was hers but it was really her daughter's and numerous other false statements. I was amazed to say the least. How can details get so twisted!? I guess we can hear what we want to hear.
